Physiotherapist, Sports Masseuse, Western & Cosmetic Acupuncturist, Holistic Therapist and Pilates Instructor
Manual therapies and rehabilitation have been my passion for over 20 years. Between 2005 and 2009 I gained the practitioner level VTCT qualifications in Swedish Body Massage, Aromatherapy, Reflexology and Indian Head Massage; with each course comprising a year of study and hands on experience.
Between 2010 and 2013 I gained the BSc (Hons) Degree in Physiotherapy and ITEC Diploma in Sports Massage from the University of Southampton. I pride myself on being a naturally caring and empathic therapist and during this time I also worked as a nursing assistant to the elderly, support worker to adults with disabilities and voluntary therapist in palliative cancer care. Since qualifying, I have worked as a NHS rotational Physiotherapist, Senior Musculo-Skeletal Outpatients Physiotherapist and qualified in Western Acupuncture with the Acupuncture Association of Chartered Physiotherapists.
As a therapist, I have repeatedly seen how a combination of manual therapies, mindfulness and self management strategies are a valuable, powerful and effective tool in helping to prevent and treat a number of conditions, whilst also encouraging the body to re-balance, rejuvenate and relax; essential in today's world when stress and prolonged tension are key contributors to ill health.
I formed Precision Therapy in 2016, a high quality, physical assessment, massage, acupuncture and holistic therapy service.
I am a registered member of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy (CSP), the Health & Care Professional Council (HCPC), Federation of Holistic Therapists (FHT) and fully insured for all therapies provided.
I ensure consistent engagement with continuing professional development and regularly attend training and additional courses to expand and improve my rehabilitation and therapy knowledge; thus keep abreast of changes and new treatments in the field.
