What To Expect
Please allow yourself an additional 20 minutes for the initial treatment. All initial treatments begin by taking a brief medical history and postural assessment when indicated. You will then be given time to undress privately and lie down on the massage table. You will be covered in towels and your therapist will only uncover the area being massaged at the time. Massage oil or cream is applied to the skin to nourish the skin and allow a comfortable and flowing massage.
The therapist will begin the treatment and initially ask for feedback to ensure you are comfortable and the correct pressure is being used. It is common in manual therapies that quite often the client will lay there and want something done differently but does not say anything in case they offend the therapist. It is essential throughout the treatment if you feel too much or too little pressure is being used, or you want more attention to one area, to let the therapist know. This is your treatment, your time and is essential it meets your requirements.
After the treatment you will be given ample time to get up and dressed, aftercare advice will be given which is also available on this website.
Additional advice may be given at the end of the treatment if impairments are found and additional use of aromatherapy oils may be used if thought to be beneficial.
Treatment frequency is individual to your requirements and best discussed following your initial treatment. We also offer a range of gift vouchers.
At all times your therapist will adhere to the highest standards of hygiene, safety, confidentiality and privacy.
